Infrastructure
The 84,000 square foot Data Cave facility includes several design features to provide the highest level of protection for your data and equipment.
- COMPLETELY redundant architecture including power, electrical distribution, and networking infrastructure for maximum data and equipment protection.
- Tier IV, Fault Tolerant, 2(N+1) design.
- Data Cave features a hardened custom-designed building to protect your data and equipment from large scale natural disasters including thunderstorms, tornadoes, floods, high wind speeds, and earthquakes.
- This design provides your organization with worry free data storage.
- Multiple, geographically dispersed, fiber optic connections providing fault tolerant high-speed connectivity 24/7/365.
- Room-within-a-room design.
- Each data suite is completely segregated and bunkered inside the building to provide increased security and an additional layer of protection.
- Integrated building security.
- Key-card access, biometric hand scanners, and video surveillance provides maximum security for each client's data and equipment.
- Energy efficient equipment combined with the Midwest's low power rates, allows Data Cave to pass along energy cost savings to our customers.
- The facility is located in a privately owned tech park and is nondescript.
- A single, private, entry road controls access.
- Multiple diesel generators provide additional electrical redundancy.
- Gaseous fire suppression system (FM-200 or equivalent). This keeps water out of the data center.
- A dedicated two day supply of fuel is maintained on-site with an additional 60,000 gallons of fuel available at our adjacent sister facility, allowing Data Cave to operate during an extended power outage.
